| | | Cuckoo? Hi All,
I heard a bird yesterday that sounded like a cuckoo would sound if I ever heard one, but I know we don't have cuckoos in the UK this time of year, so what bird could sound like one?
It only made one 'cuckoo' like call, not like the one on the RSPB site that continuously cuckoos. (does this make a difference?) |

| | | Re: Cuckoo? Yes probably a young collared dove practising it takes them a couple of practices to get it right, I did notice a couple of days ago when the weather turned milder the pigeons and doves were cooing |

| | | Re: Cuckoo? We have plenty of wood pigeons and collared doves around here. I have heard a couple since and am sure that it was probably a collared dove too.
