I too would be interested in any replies to your question quoted..no replies yet.?.Posie | I work on an old 'contaminated' gasworks site and have seen no leucistic birds in the vicinity - not that I get much of a chance - no windows to speak of! I still see a few birds whilst walking on and off site. Usually see (apart from feral pigeons) blackbirds, magpies, house-sparrows, chaffinches, wood pigeons and (before I gave up smoking and used to hang out in the smoking shelter) the occasional robin.

This is a Carrion Crow I found near Meadowhall Interchange, Sheffield, when I was on holiday there this year

Over a lot of years I can remember seeing ,a white sparrow and awhite starling a lot of Blackbirds and Crows,one Jackdaw and in recent times awhite Oystercatcher and as recently as yesterday a chaffinch I call Blondie ,it has a white head and neck  That lot took me almost sixty years given that I was about ten when I spotted the white sparrow ! |
