| | Sorry - Another gull ID please Sorry, I know I ask for a lot of gull IDs,  but this seems different. The beak is at 75% black, the tail feathers are pure white and fanned, the wings are white on the trailing edge and greyall over, then black towards the end cappped with a white patch. The head is heavily streaked.
It's probably a common, but it may be a new one for me.

| | | Re: Sorry - Another gull ID please It is a Common Gull, but it's a second-winter, not a first-winter, which would have a black tail band and still have its juvenile wings (more dark coverts, black secondary bar etc).

| | | Re: Sorry - Another gull ID please Agree with Andy and aeshna we get a lot of them nesting on the flat roofs around the town and in between the chimney breasts its a pain at times especially at nesting times when they have just hatched you get dive bombed by the parents and there have been some nasty cuts to the locals heads through these attacks
