It really depends on what your after. You can often find the most surprising and rewarding sights at the most unexpected places. As your in Nottinghamshire,my territory, a few places well worth looking at: Attenborough Nature Reserve. Generally a good mix of birds there, you never know what might turn up. Rufford Park is one of my favourite sites, with smaller birds like Finches and Tits, Robins etc. that are used to Humans and will allow you to get extremely close. Almost any of the local parks can be good, Wollaton Park has been excellent lately for Jays, with loads of them flying around the Oak trees.
The best advice I can give is don't go expecting to see anything. Keep an open mind and make the lost of wherever you try. I go with that attitude and I'm rarely disappointed. |

I live in Nottinghamshire | At this time of the year, North Norfolk coast takes some beating as there are so many sites for waders, wildfowl and geece etc.. Check your tides though if going to Snettisham. I'm sure you'll find loadsa info on the web about the area. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
