Following on from Paul Chandler's excellent recent bird ID threads (I'm never too proud to steal a good idea  ), how many species can you see in this picture and what are they? 
Hint - including the out of focus birds in the background there are at least ten species.

really good pic!! ok well here goes...
lapwing, mallard, teal, shoveler, herring gull, great crested grebe, a wader of some kind - 7 in total. that's it for the minute!  |

Have had a look and so far have.
Great-crested Grebe
Teal
Mallard
Shovelor
Coot
Lapwing
Gadwall
Black-headed Gull
possibly a larger Gull? Common
Redshank
and 2 other wader species  that I cant quite make out, possibly Golden Plover and a Godwit? a bit flaky there.

I don't know if it's me but I can't see Shelduck amongst that lot but I agree the others, plus aeshna5's suggestion of out of focus Coots.

The Shelduck is on the far right just above half way up the picture...
As for out of focus Coots in the background i see none !!!

As far as I can make out that is no Shelduck. Not large enough and hasn't white sides or chest. At first I thought it may be a Wigeon but after a better look I'm certain it is another Shoveller.
The Coots I could be wrong with but the two I picked out are the two below the 2nd from left B H Gull (near the top and a third of the way along).
