| | | Re: id fun Well folks, magpiemick was the first to get it right.
It's an eagle owl about 6/7 weeks old. It was one of three young i think. The picture was taken with a 100-400mm lense at the long end and the picture isnt cropped.
Apparantly the female has bred in the same area for a few years now.The parents have no leg rings so dont come from the north yorkshire pair.
Anyone wanting to see it next year all being well will have to travel to DUNSOP BRIDGE about ten miles from preston near the trough of bowland
The same day i went there where peregrine, and short eared owls seen in the area and one of the wardens told me an osprey had passed over earlier that morning.
