Bird ID

Ive been doing my bit for birds for a few weeks what with the weather getting colder and ive seen some right sights but the other day i saw something slightly larger than a sparrow but very similar in colour with a couple of distinct white dashes near the tips of each wing, it also looked to be white/light grey underneath as it flew away (before i could get thecamera ready). Has anyone got any ideas what it is?

I agree snow bunting and your description is almost identical to another "snow bunting" id the other day on here?

Seem to be some good numbers of them at the moment in my area of Kent
