I think everyone got the first - Nuthatch.
The second is a Fieldfare - note the demarcation between the breast and underparts in that pic.
The third are Canada Geese - fairly long winged and long necked.

I will hold my hands up and say that there was a good chance that No. 2 may have eluded me. It certainly was a Thrush but I couldn't quite bottom out which one.

Well I'm feeling particularly pleased with myself 
The ID threads on this site are a great way for a relative noobie like myself to learn bird identification.
I could go through my Collins field guide and name every bird in there but naming REAL birds is obviously more challenging. These photos are a great learning experience. |
