Just seen this bird in our garden and wondered whether it is a merlin, or sparrowhawk. Could someone help please? Sorry about the poor quality but I hope it'll still be good enough to get an ID for it.

As others have stated, this is super little adult male Sparrowhawk.
However, I think your hawk is unusually brightly coloured - the 'rufous-orange' is far more extensive than on typical adult males.
