couple of pics from today apologise for the quality as the light was pretty bad but a good day anyway i managed to spot a Stoat ,kingfisher,couple of bewick swans and this brambling

and a marsh harrier passing through .i tried putting them through neat image and this is how they came out

Nice Brambling photo. As you say light isn't good, but raptor looks like a Buzzard from what I can make out from picture with very broad wings + deep chest as well as head.

I have to agree that it looks like a Buzzard to me also.

Nice image of the Brambling considering the conditions.

We seem to have had a sudden influx of them here in the Midlands as there were 500+ in the Wyre Forest yesterday.

I was going to try and find them today but the weather is awful here at the moment. Torrential rain and very grey sky's.

Me thinks I am staying put.

Also had Brambling yesterday, there seem to be quite a few around at the moment.

Very wet and grey here today. Think I'll be doing the same. Just see what turns up in the garden.

yup that is a buzzard goes to show you can't trust anyoneexcept on this seat of learning thank you all
