| | | peregrine Hi I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this but here goes. My partner is absolutely besotted with peregrine falcons; he goes on about the ones on the Bristol Downs all the time. I would so love to sponsor one for him for 'you know when' (I still think it's too early to mention the X word) does anyone know who i can get in touch with to make this possible. Thanks for your help. Fi. X X X X

| | | Re: pereguine Hi,
I'm not sure of any sponsorship things for Peregrines, but you could try the Hawk and Owl trust, they run Barn Owl nest box sponsorship so they may do a similar thing for a Peregrine nest box |

| | | Re: pereguine Heh heh!
I used to bang on about the Bristol Peregrines too when I lived there!
First time I saw a Peregrine in a city was in Bristol, and I used to spend days at the Clifton suspension Bridge watching them. (From the White Lion Hotel Bar Balcony of course!)
As for sponsoring Peregrines - try the Hawk conservancy at Weyhill, near Andover. I'm sure they'd do a scheme like that, or come up with something similar (and better probably) if they don't presently.
You can find the Hawk Conservancy on the web.
A fabulous place...
Cheers

| | | Re: peregrine I love peregrine falcons, partly because they are the fastest birds in the world. Did you know that they can reach a top speed of over 200 miles per hour when "stooping" (diving) to catch their prey? | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
