| | | Starlings in Suffolk Hi everyone
Can anyone please tell me where I can see flocks of starlings in Suffolk. I have been watching autumn watch but unfortunately am nowhere near where they are. Does anyone know if starlings roost at Minsmere?
Any help would be appreciated from a new member |

| | | Re: Starlings in Suffolk They do flock in fairly large numbers at Minsmere, although I haven't been recently to see if this has begun yet this year. I'm not sure if they are in quite the same numbers as in Somerset, but it's still pretty impressive! |

At its peak it was said to be 100,000, but I don't know how you can count the things!!
I failed on the penduline tit yesterday, but there is a lesser yellow legs showing well from East Hide - it has been reported again to-day. There were lots of BarWits and about 50 snipe feeding in the open water - not seen so many out of cover before. And about 5 Bewick's that seemed too lazy to have gone feeding.
The Penduloine tit has not been reported to-day
For the Starlings, be on North wall about 30 minutes before sunset, but it might be worth a call to the reserve to see if they are around yet. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
