Aggressive Behaviour

There is female blackbird currently attacking my cat!
I have watched her and her mate hold off starlings,jackdaws,and magpies,from around the feeding areas in the garden.Crouching low she approaches the intruder/s then freezes suddenly flying up in a sqaucking rage none have stood their ground so far
Correction a collar dove using the same tactic has just usurped her place

We've got a couple of Blue Tits in the front garden that do the same sort thing. These guys are the Jack Russell's of the bird world and will happily bite at the ankles of anything up the size of blackbirds.

Every time we get something different landing in the trees (goldfinches, greenfinches, starlings etc) for a quick bite to eat on the feeders, the blue tits are on their case within seconds.
