I don't know whether you've visited before, but you may be close to the WWT Slimbridge reserve which is excellent for birds. It has a good collection of exotic birds which are easy to photograph, but it also attracts thousands of wild birds, especially in the winter when there are big flocks of Bewick's Swans among other birds. There should be some good photo opportunities there

WWT Slimbridge would be an obvious choice if you haven't already been. Slimbridge - Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT)

This is the site you want to use. The Gloster Birder
It gives you some excellent sites. One I can recommend is one I know as Ashleworth Ham (Severn Hams on the Gloster Birder site).
It is an excellent venue, especially in Winter as vast amounts of Wildfowl congregate there, and it's free, unlike Slimbridge. Slimbbridge is always worth a visit but don't ignore some of these hidden jewels in your county.
