Exclamation Playing companions?
A few days ago I saw a crow interacting with a young wood pigeon on the ground. The pigeon didn't seem to have anything to do with the crow, but the crow showed a lot of interest, and followed the pigeon around, hitting it with its wings gently. The pigeon flapped its wings back and tried to get on with its business of feeding on the ground. It gave me the clear impression that the crow was looking for some fun! I know some corvids show playful behavior, has anybody seen anything like this in any British crow? One of those days I wished I always took my camera to work...
