If any one is down that way today keep your eyes peeled i was fishing down there last night and as we were walking across the shingle we put up a large bird of prey it was'nt an owl but as it was dark i could'nt make out what it was i'd say it was about buzzard size may be a bit bigger but being dark it was hard to tell any way theres a chance it may be still around you never know.

There's a peregrine that lives up near the Orwell bridge - was it
big enough for that?

There is a peregrine that perches on the first crane at the docks at Landguard, not far from the orwell bridge, there was a pair the other day.

No reports of large BOP recently, but I've seen one or two buzzards on the River over the last couple of weeks - there seems to be a regular spring/autumn passage here.

Wonderful - I hadn't heard that there was pair now. I just heard
the sad tale of one lonely bloke for 2-3 years. Saw him once from
my car on the orwell bridge.

I think she just spends the winter with him and in the spring goes off?
That is better than nothing I suppose
