We have raptor centre quite near to us and I haven't been there for a few years. Perhaps I should check it out. The centre did give a display to the local WI (I am not a member but my guv'nor is) and they had Barn Owls flying across the room - really quite amazing. Not the thing to do with a goshawk from what has been written above!

I was lucky enough to have one in the garden last Christmas which stayed for about half and hour - amazing!

I've seen them too displaying in spring but a Ladybower Res in Derbys, and it is indeed a sight worth seeing. |

In the past they have sadly suffered much persecution here.

| | | Re: Goshawk I love the Goshawk.They will tackle just about anything prey wise.At a local breeding site I was recording the kills below the nest itself (under licence) and amongst other bits and bobs was a Ravens skull.From the same site I was watching this years juvenile female eating a Grey Squirrel.That is some prey for even an adult Goshawk to take! |
