| | I Love Mornings Today I was up for college about 7:00 am. I looked out my bedroom window which looks out on to the back garden and saw:Blue tits, Great tits, sparrows, woodpigeons, collard doves all in my garden. The tits were eating cherries from a cherry tree in my garden and they were great to watch and all the sparrows (6 - 8) were all huddled close together in a bush at the back of my garden. It is great to see these birds in the mornings and it cheers me up. There were also lots of Starlings on the ariels on my next door neighbours roofs.
A bird that I have not seen a lot of recently is a blackbird. I used to see them all the time a couple of months ago and now have to look long and hard to see one. Is this common at this time of year?? |

In my experience the Blackbirds do tend to make themselves scarce around this time of year untill spring. They have finished feeding the young ones so obviously aren't as busy searching for food as they were.

I did wonder about the blackbirds as i don't see them much anymore, they come for their breakfast and rarely see them for the rest of the day I love the blackbirds!

| | | Re: I Love Mornings I think it was you that was talking about Darland Banks in a previous post. I went there two days ago on my bike and cycled up the top from hempstead along to luton wreck and once again it was great. The views were great and I was about 5 metres away from a blue tit in the woods that was hanging upside down picking a berry off a tree. They are doing some gas works up there at the moment or something like that though. |

| | | Re: I Love Mornings I prefer getting out at dawn.
More birds & mammals about & less humans.
Plus I can be out a few hours, before the girlfriend wakes up. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
