Can you tell me what this goose / duck is?

Sorry no picture! Whilst walking the dog I came across some geese/ducks. At first I thought it was 3 ducks and one goose with a very long neck - then I realised it was mum with 3 big babies.
Mum was brown and white, with very distinctive brown eye patches also she had a very long neck with a yellow very long and think beak.
Does anyone know what they were? I've never seen them before. They were very lovely looking and could have escaped from the farm nearby, because there's often a piggy and ducks stopping traffic So I think they are probably domestic...
I couldn't get that close as I had my dog...

ooh I've searched the net and came across 'Indian runner ducks' that's what I saw! Here are some very unhappy caged examples compared to the ones that I saw....

They are probably one of the many Heinze 57 varieties of Mallard about the place. Some of them can be quite large indeed
