What all good dads do

Hi all.
Just thought I would share these with you, taken in my garden this afternoon.

Juvenile House Sparrow in typical begging stance.

Along comes dad and feeds me

Enjoy
Roger

Re: What all good dads do

superb shots Roger, lovely and sharp.

I'm surprised that the youngsters are still being fed so late in the summer. He looks quite a big youngster too, maybe this one is just a bit lazy

Matt

Thanks Matt, this youngster could eat because a few moments later he/she was helping themselves from the table. As you said a touch of laziness I think

Fantastic Photos.
You always get one sibling (even human ones) who are to lazy to go out and fend for themselves

Or, like one of mine, return to the nest after you thought they'd fledged.

Excellent shots Roger.

Re: What all good dads do

i think this is the same in all birds including cockatiels,i have lots of babys this year and they all screech for food from mum and dad, then you see them tucking in to something on their own, lets face it we are not much better how many of you like beeing fed grapes by your partner.ha ha.

Same here Ben a little off subject but one of mine fledged the nest at 17 years old and I've got him back now at 32 years old.
