| | | Duck ID please I was out today near home when I managed to get this picture on the fishing lake in Hetton Country Park. It was the only one of its type and isn't at all familiar to me. Any idea of what it is please? |

| | | Re: Duck ID please Thanks for the help. We are only a few miles from Washington (Tyne & Wear!) Wildfowl Trust so that's maybe where it came from. I hope it can find its way back to its pals. It was nice to see something different in any case. |

| | | Re: Duck ID please A very smart looking duck closely related to the Mandarin Duck. The males are quite different but the females of the two are not always easy to identify. Cheers
