No, they were introduced from China as ornamentals. But many escaped over the years and there is a thriving population of wild ones now.
You are quite lucky to see that wren out in the open like that. They are quite secretive birds and spend a lot of their time lurking in the undergrowth where you can hear them but not see them. |

You'll get to know it very well by it's song. Not too visible, but a beautiful singer from cover. |

The Great Tit looks like a moulting adult male judging by the broadness of the black band on the belly. Yeah your right all the juvs look in good shape this time of year. Cheers
