Finally!

I went out to try and get at least a half decent Kingfisher shot today. I sat waiting for around 20 mins then a lovely female landed on the perch I was watching

She stayed for a while allowing me to get a few shots shown below (not great but the best ive managed). I am quite pleased with the results

At least you got some and they are decent shots. I have only twice been able to get a shot of these birds in the last couple of years and then they were pretty long range efforts.

A bird that's hard to get close to. You did well to get these shots.

thanks all

I was happy to get any shot at all as I have tried many times in the last 2 months and bin unsuccesful

but managed today

. The frustrating thing was is that the last time I was there I had no camera and 2 birds were sat together both preening and diving for fish and proceeding to eat them. One even produced a kingfisher pearl

( when they cough up the bones of the fish mixed with scales I think) and I didnt have my camera with all that activity going on

but now i know where to go to photograph them
