| | | Bird ID please Opinion is divided between juvenile robin and reed warbler! Because of the eye ring I am hoping for reed warbler - and now for something completely different.
Help please,

| | | Re: Bird ID please Well I'm going for juvenile Robin Colin. I think the light gives a false impression of the eye ring and also the plumage is a bit to dark for a Reed Warbler. To my eyes the bird is a little to chunkily built as well for a Reed Warbler.
I will probably be wrong but hey I've had a go

| | | Re: Bird ID please Juvenile Robin.........wing and tail formula are not for a warbler I'm afraid. Also general structure is all for Robin.

| | | Re: Bird ID please I'd agree with robin also. I think that the speckling shown by this bird is typical of juveniles in the thrush family, whereas warblers seem to be washed out colours of the adults.

| | | Re: Bird ID please I'm going robin too, general shape of the bird, particularly in the "face" as well as the colour of the plumage.
