Beautiful! All I've ever seen of a kingfisher is a flash of blue streaking down the river |

If it is not the one that has been published, it sure deserves to be.

| | | Re: Well done JeffH Absolutely stunning shot. Well worth all the plaudits it gets.
I can only hope to get one half as good as this. If I achieved that I would be chuffed to bits. If it was anything like this then I know I have arrived as a photographer.
Quality to be aimed for.
Well done Jeff.

The Hellenic Ornothological Society (Greek Birds) have asked me to supply them with some bird photos they have seen on my website for their next book. It appears they are going to use photos of nine different species that I took in Lesvos this year. I am well chuffed as this is the first time I have been approached like this before.

| | | Re: Well done JeffH Hallo Jeff
I was out on Friday near Holywell and followed the usual brilliant flash downtream to where I thought it had landed. Couldn't find it. The bank opposite was bit like a mangrove swamp. Would have been only 20 yards across the river and the nearest yet. HOWEVER, it would have been nothing like the superb quality of your shots. Congratulations - must be something to do with the Longstanton air.
