| | Re: Robin nest box I put up a robin box made to the open-fronted design recommended by the BTO. placed it between four and five feet high on a fence behind thick shrubbery as suggested. The robins built a nest behind a loose plank in the garage and a blackbird nested on top of the robin box !!!

| | | Re: Robin nest box I went to Stapely water garden centre were the robins had nested in a hosepipe on display inside the centre with the young ones hiding under the shelves, also Trentham gardens a robin nested amongst the beding plants on display outside,as well as a bluetit nested in an old water pump.
I have 2 robin nest boxes in the garden none have been used.Today we had 2 Robins in the Garden Fighting I take it its territorial.

| | | Re: Robin nest box Robins can be quite perverse in their choice of nesting sites. A couple of summers ago, robins nested in some plants for sale in the local Homebase and successfully raised a brood, despite the fact that customers were in and out all day long. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
