| | | Turtle Doves Do Turtle Dove make a kind of extended call? I heared a bird yesterday which sounded like a Turtle Dove but the "tur" call was much longer, between 5&10 seconds of continunal calling.
I don't see many Turtle dove, in fact have only ever seen one so i'm not to experienced with there calls

. . . but then we don't hear them that often! btw, that's a complete call sequence. Collins Bird Guide doesn't mention an extended call, nor does Geoff Sample in Bird Songs and Calls.
Anyone know different?
