| | | please help!! i've found a baby sparrow Hi, I've found a baby sparrow in the garden, its head is at one side and it cant fly, i dont know how old it is, it has all its feathers. it has survived the night, i dont really know what to feed it and how often, it has been taking food off me fine  any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks |

Now you have taken on the role of parent, it will need regular feeding, mealworms, flies, almost any insect you can find will do. Your local pet shop may have supplies of suitable insects to feed it. Feed it as often as it will take food, good luck.

Feed it as often as it will take food, good luck. | Thanks, i will go to pet shop today to see what i can get, if i had left it where it was it would sure be dead today as there are so many cats around in my garden with me feeding the birds, it cant fly or balance itseft properly, i thought it was best to bring it in where it would be safe |

If you do feed mealworms they will need there heads crushing first as they have been known to eat through a birds crop. Does it still have a yellow gape. Some baby birds do well on EMP, witch is a pet shop balt baby bird food.
bepending on how old it is it will need feeding at least every 20 mins from dawn to dusk. where abouts are you maybe worth contacting your local Wildlife Hospital/rescue, for advice.

so it be better to concerntrate on keeping the little one alife
