| | | Blackbirds mobbing Jay I was waiting for my train into London this morning and I heard a Jay fly overhead. It landed in a tree behind the opposite platform and was immediately attacked by a male and female blackbird. There was an almighty din going on but none of my fellow passengers seemed to be disturbed out of their 'commuter mode'. The Jay was unperturbed and just moved to another branch leaving the blackbirds twittering away madly. Sadly my train then arrived and I am sitting here in my office wondering about the outcome. Certainly added interest to the daily grind! |
