Yesterday while driving to hadliegh in suffolk im sure we saw a shot eared owl dont no if anyone here live near there but it was flying over the medow where the hadligh show is held ive seen them in the winter at minsmere and along the suffolk coast but never this time of year which leads me to the question if it was one is it one of a pair that are breeding ? |

| | | Re: think i saw a ? According to the Birds of Suffolk, SE Owls are scarce breeding birds in the county- mainly in coastal areas + the Brecks. They don't breed every year, especially if a poor vole year, but up to 17 pairs recorded in bumper vole year.
So I guess you may have seen one, especially if you're sure it wasn't a Barn Owl. Good one! |
