Gull id needed please

Last October, I was going to send it to the local paper as they print readers pics and wanted a id full id for it

October , they are in winter plumage by then.

I would say it's a winter adult too, which means it is at least four years old (I think - I may be utterly wrong!).

So do they take four years to get adult plumage?

I saw some herring gulls to-day with brown underwings, would they be this years?
