| | A Day out at South Stack, Anglesey Hi All,
Had a lovely day out at South Stack on Anglesey with the birds and flowers, lots about, including 3 or 4 choughs, just that they kept diving :-( Now before I get 1000 complaints, the chicks and Herring gulls nesting are taken from the correct side of an RSPB barrier that was erected. These gulls, including Lesser Black backed, and Greater Black backed breed year in year out at South Stack lighthouse, completely oblivous to humans. It is a real chance to get close (under RSPB supervision).
At present there are only 12 Puffins at South Stack - they are having problems finding suitable nest sites
So with the list, as per usual, all shots 926x692 :-)

| | | Re: A Day out at South Stack, Anglesey Excellent shots Steve, they really show the Gull family in detail, as to my favourite - spoilt for choice but if pushed the Rock Pipit.

| | Re: A Day out at South Stack, Anglesey Thanks all - yes I do like the shots - as you have all commented on the detail - these images have only been resized, cropped has been approx 1 inch from the edges, apart from the Stonechat, Guillemots & Razorbills.
I got very close to all my pipits today, approx 2 metres from the Meadow Pipit, and 2.5 from the Rock Pipit. Gulls I was down to 1.8m (Closest focal range on the lense).
Once again, thanks for the nice comments.
A very happy Steve
