| | Walk in Wales - Aber Falls, lots of Birds Hi all,
What a lovely day!! Walked up to Aber falls and loads and loads of birds around, I saw Ravens, Garden Warblers, Wood Warblers, Chaffinches (but the tens), blackbirds, Red Starts, Coal Tits, Blue Tits, Black caps, Grey Wagtails, Peregrine Falcon, Dunnocks, Chiffchaffs and numerous other birds including many Warblers. Also heard a Cuckoo and an Owl - too far though :-(
My Shots are below - enjoy, and if you can get out to Aber Falls!!
Also a Swallow from a farm near the Spinneys reserve at Bangor and a Greylag goose in flight from Valley Wetlands. At Valley were Canada Geese, Greylags, Great crested grebes, Ruddy Ducks and Tufted Ducks.
Cheers,
Steve Garden Warbler - Sylvia borin Grey Wagtail - Motacilla cinerea Blackcap - Sylvia atricapilla Chaffinch (Male) - Fringilla coelebs Swallow - Hirundo rustica Greylag Goose in Flight - Anser Anser |

| | | Re: Walk in Wales - Aber Falls, lots of Birds Excellent photos Steve from an excellent site in north Wales. I know it well and ususally visit each year in May.
In addition to your list, I normally see Common Buzzard (anywhere overhead), Dipper (on the river by the bridge), Pied Flycatcher (in the oaks) and Ring Ousel (up by the falls in the scree or wooded slopes) .... did you not see these?
Even if you don't like birdwatching (which I do ) this is a great walk up to Aber Falls which are particularly stunning after rain.
