Serin sighted at the South Walney nature reserve.
A Female Serin has been seen at the South Walney Nature reserve in Cumbria. Hundreds of people from northern England has been to see it over the last few days.
Serins usually nest in France but can some time be seen in the south of England but very rarely this far north. This is only the second time one has been seen in the county, the last time was at SWNR in 1999. Mike Douglas the warden there hopes that she will return south soon.
