| | | Starling in a flap I caught this amusing sequence of shots yesterday morning. The starling is apparently feeding its young in a nest behind the louvre protecting a duct outlet. The nest is invisible and the duct outlet is in a wall 20 feet above the ground. I therefore do not consider that I am breaking the taboo about photographing nesting birds.
The snaps do illustrate the adaptability of the starling and its talent for filling a niche in every sense of the phrase.

It never fails to amaze me the places birds find to build their nests and have their Chicks

| | | Re: Starling in a flap Great shots Colin! Ingenious idea for a safe nesting spot. Our starlings have to make do with a boring old swift box . |
