I know we shoot birds here, but at least we breed most of them for purpose or manage habitat to promote high numbers (frequently in a way that benefits other species too)- natural stocks are not depleated. However, we still shoot a lot of migrating birds in the winter, is that the same thing? Its perhaps not on the same scale, less of a cultural right of passage that its considered to be in Malta. |

I thought there was already an EU directive to stop the shooting and trapping but obviously the Maltese Government are turning a blind eye to it. |
