Blue Tits

I am new to the forum and this is my first post. Last week in our garden two blue tits began to go in and out of our new "tit box" and my wife and and were so pleased as it appeared we had tenants already.However after three days of action things have stopped and we have not noticed the tits since Friday 13th. Does this mean they have vacated or is it possibe they could still be there? You may have gathered I am not very well informed on the subject and thought the best way to find out was by asking your forum. Thanks Alan B

Hi Alan.
They may have moved on and sometimes they use the boxes to roost in. They also spend some time laying claim to more than one nest site and will use the secondary site for the second brood or any later brood. I'd not give up on them as they will be back if not this season next.
