Pigeons attack Blackbird nest
Posted 28-05-2011 at 10:20 AM by vinylweb
Over the last couple of weeks a blackbird has nested on the side of our house in a creeper canopy. She has been collecting 'stuff' and protecting her egg(s) but has been constantly hassled by two local wood pigeons. They fly under the canopy and are a nuisance to her. Yesterday, we discovered that the blackbird had gone and the egg was dashed on the patio. Is it common for pigeons to behave that way and could they have attacked the nest ?
