Oh dear !!!

Today my pear tree collapsed under the weight of fruit it is or rather was bearing,so having taken a saw to it,it is now only two thirds its original size
I have picked the under-ripe pears from the removed wood and will make harmony jam with the addition of victoria plums and cooking apples.
I have a bit of a dicky tummy which is rather annoying with a fat bowl of plums sitting on the table calling to me,before you ask,no I haven't been eating those dodgy but beautiful mushrooms I have been finding everywhere.
I went to a small car boot sale this morning,all the cars were parked right where the Boletus appendiculatus will start popping up for picking in about three to four weeks time,that's if they stay on the same schedule as they have used for the last fourteen years.I do like them stuffed with bacon and herbs and baked. I also noticed the parasols I like to eat are just starting to poke up from the ground........t'is going to be a bountiful free harvest this year.
