It is now 20th May and Summer seems to have been cancelled. Today on the Fen it was only 11 degrees and the wind was biting.....
But first - update time.
Still getting to the Fen which is the stopping place of choice. We've seen the SEO a couple of times since the first report - magnificent sight it is too.

Time for a spot of catching up..... Now, where to begin......
Well, late in January, I achieved one of my ambitions and saw my first SEO !!!! What a bird! It was on LHF and lifted up about 60 ft from the track then swept across a pasture doing stalls and drops as it went. I was thrilled! Didn't realise just how lucky we were though, as that day turned out to be the last reported sighting of the SEOs on this site... | Wild Member | | Comments 2
|  | This year - I resolve that work will not rule my life and I will risk the wrath of customers to get out into the landscape for some soothing of the soul............ - I want to try to get a bit more knowledge about insects and to try to do a bit of decent (or semi-decent) macro work. I think moths may be my starting point.....
- It would be nice to get back into fungi. I used to be really into getting shots of various fungi and identification but a lot of time has passed, reclassification

Starling murmuration heading to roost at Aberystwyth in early November.
