Top Poster: glsammy (14,777) | | Welcome to our newest member, mattygroves | | | | The forecast for today was for rain and more rain accompanied by lots of wind and early it was windy but dry...so this afternoon I did my usual circular walk....there were flocks of starlings and jackdaws, and black headed gulls, and the mallard and six geese were on the pond with no sign of the moorhens, and a few pairs of crows and rooks and very little else to see....bar a Kestrel which struggled to an overhead wire and then flew off ofter sounding off its by now familiar call.

| | | With a hundred miles journey each way to Spurn Point it needed to be special. We left and returned in rain but it stayed dry whilst we were there.
We arrived at the Kilnsea car park having already seen seventeen species including a family of Grey Partridge, Pheasants, pigeons(Feral and Wood),gulls(Black headed, Herring and Lesser Black Backed) corvids (Rook, Crow, Jackdaw and Magpie) and some late departing Swallows.
At Spurn we heard a rumour of Jack Snipe and spent some time trying... | Member of the Wild Empire | | Comments 0
| | ,I don't seem to understand how any one company can own our water, it needs to be FREE and CLEAN, when the Indians lived in America you could drink from any river. Water is Sacred , when the Europeans came they had no RESPECT for Water, air and Nature
Mankind must realize that they are nature not separate from her.

| | | Its true that wildlife needs a voice, our wildlife needs good people like the people that care enough to help and to speak our language for the animals. | Active Member | | Comments 0
