I already have my own blog (accessible from my web site) which describes the walks that I go on - I generally walk 12-15 miles, two or three times a week, all over Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and the southern part of Oxfordshire. Here on my WAB blog I will just comment on the wildlife that I see on my walks. I love being out in the countryside and enjoy seeing all types of wildlife, but I am especially interested in birds and wildflowers.
South from Buckland Common

A 4-hour circular walk from Buckland Common (near Tring) today, through Chartridge and Cholesbury (where I walked round Cholesbury Camp, an Iron Age hill fort). A walk just for the sake of the exercise, really - it was grey and misty, limiting visibility to 50 yards at times. I hoped the mist would clear, but it didn't, if anything it got worse. Shame as there were some nice views when I did this walk in the opposite direction a few weeks ago.
Consequently I didn't think there'd be any wildlife to report because I couldn't see anything - then, just as I reached the Alpaca farm at Buckland Common, almost at the end of the walk, I saw a Muntjac Deer. I saw one the last time I was here, too.
