Properly spring-like

I spent some time down the garden today - and put my macro lens on the camera for the first time in a while.
Quite a few insects and spiders were out - including small tortoiseshell, peacock and brimstone butterflies.

Several different ladybirds were active: 2-spot, 7-spot, harlequin, kidney spot and pine - with 7-spots being easily the most prolific.
I heard and saw the first chiffchaff of the year in the garden :-) Other birds of note included two treecreepers, a couple of goldcrests and a sparrowhawk... no chance of decent pics, though, without a longer lens.
There's now plenty of frogspawn in the pond
