| | Welcome to our newest member, TexasOne | |  | Posted 08-01-2011 at 09:31 PM by nutmeg The cold weather seems to have made the bank voles in the garden much bolder than usual. When I go down to the paddock to give the goat her feed mix I usually watch her for a while - and the robin that swoops down to snatch her grain. Recently, I've noticed several bank voles popping out from the undergrowth, probably to grab some grain too. I've started to leave them some seeds and fruit in places where I plan to try to photograph them.

 | | Posted 20-09-2009 at 11:06 AM by nutmeg A much better night last night than the previous night, thanks to some cloud retaining the warmth of the day. I trapped in the garden again and although numbers weren't high, I had a nice selection of moths including some new for the garden.

Very few moths ended up in the trap:
Large Yellow Underwing
Broad-bordered Yellow Underwing
2 Setaceous Hebrew Character
2 Light Brown Apple Moth
