Hi, I am new, so I hope I have this correct
. I was interested to hear of those of you that have field mice in their gardens. We have a family, or two or maybe more, that live in our disused kennel with run. They live very happily in a straw bale, with lots of places to hide, including my husbands old wellies (he's not allowed to have them back
) I feed them with dog food, seeds of all sorts, peanuts, fruit bars for mice, mixed mouse food, and put fresh water out every day, the young have actually started to appear when I whisper to them. We put in a cat toy mouse, and they move that around the kennel sleeping area top, (its a raised off the floor, very large box, with a roof on it ), and I often find the toy placed in the food bowl.
They are completely protected from all preditors, and we feel very honoured to share our garden with them.
