| | Welcome to our newest member, Kellyn | | Uncategorized Entries with no category  | Posted 03-06-2008 at 08:12 AM by hedgerow on the 25th of May during the high winds I located an oak tree with a very large concentration of oak apple galls (possibly 300 plus) and collected 20 galls that had been knocked off during the winds.
since then 4 of the galls have revealed what I believe to be a beetle larva of unknown species feeding inside the gall and causing large amounts of damage to the structure of it.
I will await to see if galls shed this early can still be viable or whether the larva inside are doomed to... | Wild Member | | Comments 0
