6 More !!! Diplolepis rosae today. This is getting beyond a joke.

One more Diplolepis rosae today bring the total to 95.
According to the literature they are only supposed to have upto 60 per gall. That gives me 150% of what should be there. | Wild Member | | | Comments 0

Did not check yesterday, thinking that they would have all exited. Was gobsmacked to find box full of wasps again.
Same proceedure as yesterday revealed there to be another 40 which I will release later on the same rose bush. I can't help having sympathy for the bush but it is the only one budding and frost free.
So 94 Diplolepis rosae from one gall. That seems a heck of a lot to me. | Wild Member | | | Comments 0

Too many to exits count in the main box so I fridged the whole box for half an hour and then caught them all in a number of sample tubes.
A total of 54 Diplolepis rosae have exited the gall. I will release them this morning on to a sheltered rose that has already started budding. | Wild Member | | | Comments 0
