gall wasps
A number of wasp galls were collected during the autumn consisting of 4 bedeguar (pin cushion) galls, and several Oak marble galls, knopper galls, small pea galls, smooth spangle galls and cola galls.
There were 48 exits from the Oak marble galls caused by Andricus kollari from 50 galls, 9 of which nothing has emerged from.
7 of which were Andricus kollari and the remaining consist of 15 Megastigmus stigmatizans, 4 Torymus auratus, 2 very small Torymus spp. and the remainder have yet to be identified.
Of the small pea gall (Cynaps divisa), one leaf with 10 galls was kept back. This leaf was chosen due to me seeing a Torymus affinis laying in three of the galls. So far 2 Torymus affinis, and one Ptermalidae sp has emerged but none of the original hosts.
Of the Bedeguar galls, gall number 1 has released 13 Pteromalus bedeguaris (12 female and 1 male).
Gall 2a, 2b and 2c were found within centimetres of each other on the same stem so has been grouped together. Gall number 2a has 3 Torymus bedegauris females exited, 2b has one Torymus bedeguaris female and gall 2c has 3 Torymus bedeguaris (2 female and 1 male)
Of the others I am still waiting for developments
