Haven't been out anywhere today but the birds in and around the garden have been great.
Most exciting was a large influx of Siskins. I've had a group of 7 for the last couple of days, but today there was a flock of atleast 23 birds, and large groups were visiting the seed feeders. Other finch numbers have been good too, with about 15 Goldfinches, 5 Greenfinches and 6 Chaffinches. 6 Long-tailed Tits visited the feeders and there was a Goldcrest in the hedge infront of the house. There was also a flock of Redwings in the field behind the house.
Here are a couple of Siskin shots, the first showing mostly female birds and the second mostly males.

| | Yes, I'm really pleased to see the Siskins even though the weathers been pretty awful. |
