Hi everyone,
It's nice to see this facility up and running again, thanks Stuart for sorting it out.
I look forward to hearing about other peoples adventures and writing down some of mine.
Not up to anything today but I went to Hartland Moor yesterday where I saw my first big Long-tailed Tit flock of the winter, about 12 birds. Also a couple of Goldcrest among them. From the Middlebere hide there were lots of Teal and Wigeon, as well as a few Little Egrets, Shoveller and Curlews. Also one Avocet, one Kestrel and 2 Yellow-legged Gulls. Unfortunately no sign of any Harriers, although a Hen Harrier had been sighted earlier in the day. Along the path back to the car there were a couple of Fieldfare and a Redwing, and some Lapwings flew over.
It's really starting to feel like winter again here, and I'm looking forward to getting out and seeing the winter birds
